I was debanded almost a month ago. The first thing I had was a sandwich. It was heaven not having tons of bread stuck. Then I had a Tangy Taffy bar. Later that night I had popcorn. It is a wonderful feeling eating naked!
Good luck you guys!

There's nothing I've missed food wise, but - as a few others have said - I won't miss the accumulation of food everywhere.

WHATEVER I WANT TO!!!

That will be:
A golden delicious apple peel and all
A Cadbury's Fruit and Nut and not worry about the nuts
As many peanuts that are in the bucket just before my steak comes

Everything without fear of knocking off a bracket or having to clean it out.

Seriously I miss those things but I don't really crave them. I've just adjusted to not having them.

Well, I dreamed about ribs, corn on the cob and a caramel apple for dessert. But . . . my daughter had band practice last night (my debanding day) and we couldn't go to a restaurant. So, I had spaghetti and salad with honey mustard dressing. It was good though - no worries about staining my ligs or having lettuce stuck in my brackets.

I can't wait to go to the movies to see Shrek 3 and eat a TUB of popcorn!

A big crunchy juicy apple :D I'm going to bite into it and admire the nice, straight toothmarks.

Then maybe a bag of mixed toffees.

I had this planned out months in advance. Last summer I froze a dozen ears of corn for that day.

I had corn on the cob, ribs, croutons on my salad, and popcorn!

Couldn't do the apple, my front teeth were sort of tender...not uncommon for some. It was freaky biting into things!!

Hopefully... June 14 I will be chomping into some corn on the cob smothered in butter and salt. I can't wait. Then a juicy apple to top it off.

I can eat bacon if it's already cut into bits.

I cannot eat strips of bacon, cereal, ice cream cones, nuts, ice, the rolls at Texas Roadhouse are yummy but they hurt.

I am going to try sausage today we will see how that goes.

iborg, you totally reminded me of Texas Roadhouse when you mentioned the peanuts in the bucket. I ate there yesterday for dinner but had to have chopped steak instead of my usual chicken fried steak.

Dont worry I get my chewing in but I am not trying to break another bracket before the 17th.

I'm definitely going to have an apple; Maybe even a toffee-apple, two "banned" foods in one go! :D
A crusty bread roll will be great too, no more pain eating it and spending the next 30 minutes poking my tongue around the brackets for remains.

Roll on the summer, this talk is making me feel hungry. :(
