I'm estimated at 31 months. I've had top braces for almost three months and bottoms for a little over a month. I'd be nice if I could get them off before I graduate from college in May 2009, but I'm not counting on it, that would be 4 months early! I guess it'll be over when it's over. . .

I haven't gotten them on yet, but my ortho said approximately 2 years. I was disappointed to hear this, because I didn't think my teeth were bad to the point where I'd have to wear them for two years.

I was hoping I could have them off before I turned 20...but I guess not (unless I have really quick progress). :(

I was told 9-12 months for my uppers and 12-15 for my bottom teeth. I've had them just shy of a month and I can already see so much improvement! It's really exciting.

I am supposed to be in for 18.5 months....but since I lost my job and may not be able to pay for a couple of months and may even have to be debanded and banded again when I can afford it...it could be longer.

I am hoping this is not the case.

Braces on 3/1/07. Braces off probably July 2009; if so, would be the best birthday present ever! (Total time: 27 months est.)

jt2lang,

Well now that I know when I am starting my new job I can negotiate with them a little better. Right now I am totally focused on car payments, insurance and such.

Estimated 18 months
Elapsed 19 months
Removal will occur at 21 months

So all in all an extra 3 months isnt too bad but i didnt think my teeth were that bad to start with.

My ortho estimates 18-24 months. 24 if extractions are necessary, 18 months otherwise. He says I might be able to get away with no extractions though, so I'm really hoping for 18 months!
