I just got a gelb splint monday and it is a pain. I am able to speak pretty well even with all the additional plastic. The problem is with eating it is kinda painful. Does anyone have experience with this type of splint? How long does it take to get use to it and how long did it take for your lower jaw to come forward into the new notches for teeth?

It seems to be getting a little better, but chewing food is still a challenge.
