What month did they align?

#1 Post by TLB in Minneapolis »

For those of you with minor to moderate crowding, what month did you teeth look noticeably straight? I know there is a lot of fine detailing after they get your teeth aligned, but when did they look almost perfect?

Thanks!!!

As far as my uppers, I thought they were looking straight around the 6 month mark, but after a month of that they started looking crooked again, with leveling issues and such.

I had moderate/mild crowding on top (thought it looked major!) and mine were nicely alligned in the 3rd month.

Bite issues dragged on (in addition to my lowers moving slowly) for the long haul....but the uppers looked fantastic by the end of month 3.

Hang in there!!! We're all rooting for you here!

I had mild to moderate crowding on the lowers and minor crowding on the top. At around six months, they were perfectly aligned in my opinion. I'm in the detailing phase now with 3-4 months to go.

I'd probably say about 6 months, the majority of my treatment time was spent on correcting my overjet.

This is my 8th week of treatment, so, 2months have passed and today is my second adjustment (i`ll get 0,16 archwire). My uppers have been looking perfect since 5th week of treatment (of course as i know much more on orthodontia now, i can say the line is not that perfect yet, but for other people , they lookquiet perfect ). On my lowers there was only an issue with one of the molars which was growing other way. I had an extraction to uncrowd my uppers, so, the gap should be closed now, and i know it takes a lot, cause they have to move second molar and a wisdom teeth to close that gap.
But i`m happy!!!! The issue that used to piss me off about my uppers has gone and now i`m just patiently waiting....

I am one week into being braced. I found this site when was considering braces and it feels like I'm connected to others like me! I've poked around in the basics/popular topics a bit already... I love it... sounds lame but with my expander and the braces I can actually SEE a change in my teeth...18 months to go :)

My lowers look fine now after four months. Minor crookness, but it will corrected when I get re-positioning of some brackets. Now it is just levelling and widening the arch, before I get my uppers in July.
