Weekly adjustments for first month?

#1 Post by bracedat34 »

I got my spacers put in a couple of days ago (teeth are little tender) and will be having my braces put on June 6th. I was told at my consultation appointment that I would be having some type of appliance put in that will require me to come into the office to have an adjustment done once a week for the first 4-6 weeks. Has anyone heard of this? :?:

Sounds like you might be getting some kind of expander which necessitates turning a key to widen your upper arch. A phone call to your ortho would put your mind at rest as to exactly what he intends to use on you.
