Warning: Contains moderate amount of self-pity

#1 Post by Lillers »

Caveat: Yeah, I'll get over it and yeah, I'm feeling whiney right now, but...

It looked like my debanding would occur within the next 3-4 weeks, but now I'm looking at another 2 months of power chains and elastics. Stubborn cross-bite issues with bottom pre-molars.

Aww, poop. Am I allowed to say *poop*? Well, I just said it.

Apologies in advance for indulging myself (and subjecting Archwired members to) this little pity party.

Hope everyone else is having a much better day!
Braced March 2005 (lower); November 2005 (upper); all ceramic. Goal = correcting overbite.

Lower jaw surgery was successfully performed December 18, 2006.

I understand. There comes a time when enough is enough. In situations such as these, I resort to the tried and tested remedy: chocolate. :)

Lillers what a bummer! I'm afraid I'll be in the same boat as you in a few weeks, but considering you've been in longer and put up with surgery, I deserve no pity!

Poop is mild - I'd have said this:

:-= :-+ :-(*

And a little bit of this:

I'm all about the pity parties, so no need to apologize to me!

That's totally sucky that the time table isn't working out for ya. On the up side though, at least you're not getting them off before you're ready to. Debanding early could put you back into braces sometime down the line, so you wanna get them as perfect as you can.

Try to keep yer chin up...what's a couple more months against years and years of braces free healthy teeth time?

:D
Spacers: 1/26/05; 2/6/06; 3/15/06; 4/24/06
4 First Bicuspids removed: 2/2005
Metal Braces, top and bottom: 3/1/05; Debanded 7/26/07
Hawley retainers top and bottom
