Powerchain....spitting and whistling f's....how nice

#1 Post by acehigh »

I'm 6 months into treatment and just had a powerchain put on my top front teeth. (Very small gaps need to be closed...1/2-1 mm). Anyways, I was just on the phone and noticed I am spitting a bit when I talk, my f's are whistling when they want to, and my top lip is sticking to the power chain. Especially when I smile, my top lip gets all caught up on the top brackets. Guess I'll have to wait and hope it improves. I know it's not a major issue, but it's funny how it becomes one when it happens to you.....lol. :)

Haha, I've whistled my F's since day one... It gets kind of old.

My bf has accidentally teased me for lisping, when it was my powerchain that was making the whistle! I laugh at it, because like you said, you don't know when it's going to happen!

I'm glad that I am at a call centre since I seem to be spitting a lot when I talk!
I also am having trouble with my F's, which is annoying since I say numbers all day (three, four).
So frustrating!
