Please let me know if I am being paranoid or not. Two months into braces to fix minor crowding at bottom and an overjet+deep bite. After two months my bottom teeth are almost completely aligned in the arch although there is still some rotation. Why is it that my midline at the top seems to be angling more and getting even worse???!!! It was not even a matter of concern before. Is it my imagination or is fixing my bottom teeth making the top worse? My ortho better but things back where she found it !

kk I am trying to be as positive as possible as I know I have a long road ahead still but it is still a bit unsettling to see things that did not need fixing before is now starting to shift. I suppose it will all be fine in the end but its the in between that I worry about.
I'm 6 months into treatment and I've noticed my midline is off. I have an overjet/overbite which is being corrected with elastics and a powerchain across the top arch. The midline has definately gotten worse, but I know that they treat your case one step at a time. I overheard the ortho telling the technician that on my next appointment I'll be wearing an elastic on one side only to correct the midline. (I'm pretty sure I heard correctly!!) Anyways, knowing this, I'm not too concerned about it. Your teeth and bite are shifting constantly. You will notice changes....sometimes not the changes you want to see. This is why it usually takes 1 1/2 years to 3 years to get the end result.
