REMOVING THEM!!!!!!!!!

#1 Post by CHOIRSPARKLE »

I've had my braces on my teeth since June of 2003. I am happy and pleased with how my teeth look now. Should I get them removed now? Its been 4 years and 3 months. My orthodontist said this might be as good as they are going to get .....because I'm a complex case and cause of my deepbite. I haven't even gotten the Elastics yet!!!!

My dentist has said the same thing to me. I don't like it. It seems as though "as good as it gets" is kinda a defeatest attitude. I think you should keep them on until it's perfect.

While 100% perfection is nice to aim for, "as good as it gets" may be the best outcome that can be achieved considering the circumstances of the case. I'm not sure I'd call this defeatist.

At the end of the day, it's a personal decision.
