When do you brush

#1 Post by bracesafter40 »

Say, when you awake in the mornings, do you eat first and brush after, or do you brush first and then eat?
I brush first although brushing is the last thing I do before I go to bed, then eat and just rinse after eating depending on how much crap is stuck in my teeth I will then brush.

it depends on a number factors such as if i am running late. but if i have time, i would usually eat first then brush afterwards. Especially if there is sugar involved

Brushing is usually the last thing I do before getting dressed and head out the door.

When I had my braces on(just last week :D ) I would always use mouth wash first then eat then brush.
Got my braces off 9/20/07 after 19 months and 3 weeks. WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!

I don't eat breakfast, so I just wake up and brush.
I brush after lunch (when I'm at home) and after dinner.
I brush before bed, too.
Also, I always brush before leaving the house.

Wakes up
Brush
Eats breakfast on the way to office
Brush again at office washroom

There's a weird feeling in my mouth if I don't brush before eating. Maybe I'm just used to brushing before I eat. Is it the CORRECT way to brush after eating breakfast and not before?

Hmmm...

Wake up, rinse with water ('cause my mouth always feels weird), shower, breakfast, brush and floss.

Brush and floss after lunch.

Brush after dinner.

Brush after every snack or dark-colored beverage.

Brush, floss, flouride before bed.

I floss a bit more than most, I think... But it really doesn't take me long at all, and my mouth never feels clean until I've flossed. I was like this before the braces were on, too. Perhaps I'm a little OCD?

Brush after waking.
Brush after eating (at home or out--with my trusty Dentakit!)
Gargle with alcohol-free mouthwash whenever I feel like an extra swish.
Brush and floss before bed.
