HELP! Getting top braces Oct.11-- On Oct.14 (3 Days Later)..
Getting top braces Oct.11-- On Oct.14 (3 Days Later) I have to eat a full turkey dinner with all the fixings!! Help!! This is at a hotel confrence/ meeting room! Help me! There will be family there too!
So, what type of help are you looking for? I love turkey dinner - do you want me to come and chew some for you? :-)
Seriously, most people get through braces just fine. And, there are lots of things in a turkey dinner that are very easy to eat - mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, pumpkin pie, ... Yum - now I'm hungry! Just watch out for some of the green stuff, like creamed spinach and broccoli. They might get stuck in your braces, and be a little unattractive. But, just drink water and swish them out!

I love turkey dinner - do you want me to come and chew some for you? LOL!!! Well basically any tips..... I will only have been braced for 3 days... so it will be painful... Until this day I was planning on just eating Mr.Noodles, SO NICE Soy Yogurt, applesauce etc.! So I think it maybe hard for me to all of a sudden "learn" how to eat solid foods with braces!!
Just cut your food up into small pieces and eat smaller bites with your fork. Your teeth may be sore, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't eat Thanksgiving food!!! Just don't try to grab a turkey leg and take big bites off of it and you'll be just fine!

Mmm... yummy, all this talk of food is making me hungry. I wish we had thanksgiving in Australia. I have a lot to be thankful for
On my 3rd day of being braced I could eat slightly hard things like crackers, but very slowly. Yesterday I managed to eat a cheeseburger from McDonalds. I'm sure you'll do fine with your turkey dinner. Like everyone says just cut things up and try and chew it as well as you can. Only one side of my teeth touch when I close my mouth at the moment so I can only chew on one side. It gets easier so just keep on chewing.
Good luck
P.S If you can't finish all all of your turkey dinner, I'll help you

Well thanks for the advice everyone!! KK I heard the ideas from people at school who have braces, I've also been told that the 2nd day your in braces (the day after you get them on) it feels like you got punched in the face!! I've never been punched in the face so I don't know if they're lying so.... with your advice I think they're lying.
