Getting Braced Today!

#1 Post by Ashley09 »

Finally! Today is brace day, and I must admit, I'm a little more nervous than I thought I would be. I was fine until this morning and then it hit me. I'm stuck in these things for at least a year and a half! I'm getting just the top done, and they're Clarity, but I saw another post on here saying that they're more noticable than people think...I sure hope not!

Did anyone have problems speaking right after they got theirs? I'm heading straight back to work after and I'm starting to wonder if that was such a good plan...

Well, wish me luck!

Good luck, Ashley! I'm only a day ahead of you - I got ice brackets on my upper arch yesterday, and some metal brackets as well.

I haven't had any trouble speaking at all. It feels a bit weird on my lips, but that's about it - no pain yet. I had the day off work but could easily have gone back afterwards :)
