My front two teeth are like, crooked. One is in back and one is in front. I hate it! Also, I think I have TMJ. Evey morning I wake up with a head ache because I bite down on my teeth. I even do it during the day ALL the time! And, I can't wear a night guard during the day! I think my teeth are very sensitive because of this too. Also my top 2 teeth kind of go in toward the bottom teeth at the bottom of my top teeth. Like, if I run my finger from my top front tooth all the way down, i can feel it curve in and slant.

Will braces help?

Thanks!

I never thought my bottom teeth were crooked but, now that I look at that pic they seem a little, off to me....

Sorry the pics aren't that great and blurry.

Your teeth don't look that bad, I hope you're not really self-conscious. Mine are horrible :? I think braces could straighten them out though. You should get a consult.

I could be wrong, but it looks like you have had braces before. Would this be your second go at it? Or the first? Your Ortho work looks like just some fine tuning....I'd do it!

cutekiwi, the only thing I can see for sure is that your canine teeth are sort of rotated and/or overlapping (one more so than the other), and it's more obvious in these pics than in your previous ones. Overall, though, your teeth look nice to me. Like some people said in your other thread, the TMJ-type stuff or bruxism you describe probably won't be resolved by braces. Your bite looks to line up nicely.

cutekiwi - i think your teeth look cute. they are symmetrical and have a little bit of character to them. from the pic your bottom teeth look perfect and you may not even need braces on them. your teeth also look like a nice shape, and although they look good now, i can imagine a perfect smile if you were to get braces.

it's up to you... its a situation where you need to weigh up the pros and cons. i am like you and am concerned about the appearance of my teeth and experience teeth grinding (although i don't think braces fixes grinding) in fact i have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning and i'm going to ask him if he thinks i am suitable for braces. i find myself worrying about my teeth all the time and i think it is worth sacrificing a couple of years of your life with your teeth hidden behind braces, in exchange for a lifetime of a beautiful smile.

you can see pics of my teeth (and my little dilema) on this thread - viewtopic.php?p=234682#234682

you should read the comments there too, because all of the people left really helpful points that is helping my decision.

good luck with everything!
