Got 'em in!

#1 Post by TucsonDeb »

Got my wires and ligs today! I have a powerchain on my upper front four teeth and regular ligs everywhere else. No elastics, though those are planned for down the road. I also got a metal ring on 4 of my molars (for holding the wire I assume).

I got pearl ligs (thought I'd go conservative to start), but my next appointment I'll probably get yellow and blue or yellow and pink ligs for Easter. :)

Per the ortho's advice, I took a couple Motrin immediately after the appointment. She indicated that the powerchain will cause some significant soreness. It's only been an hour and it just feels tight, not painful, but we'll see how it goes.

I'm so excited! :)

Congrats!! My advice would be to take pics of your first day, then every month after that, so you can see the changes!! Lots of people did that and it is amazing to see the differences!

I would definetly keep up the motrin and chew on the wafer they gave you ( I am assuming they gave you one!)...seems funny, but it will help with the soreness!

I love that all these adults are getting colored ligs. Can't really hide the braces - might as well show 'em off!
