wire slipped out

#1 Post by ryan1991 »

OK, on my back left band, where the wire slips into it, has slipped out, and is now pointing towards the bottom of my cheek... although it is not hurting.

I am due back at the ortho on March 21st... so dhould I just wait until then, when they replace the wiring?

March 21st is about a month away....maybe you can call the ortho's office and see what they'd prefer you to do?

Hi Ryan...I'd call your ortho, just to be sure. Why take a chance, right?
Keep smilin'! :)

You might be able to persuade the wire back in with a pair of tweezers.

That happened to me yesterday..I was eating an apple (pre-cut of course) and I guess some of my ligs came off from some time before. I was able to push back the wire back into my brackets. It also helped that I had an adjustment that very same day too.

If I were you Id definitely give your Ortho a call.
