Ok so my ortho just told me that she cut 6 months off my estimated treatment time and that my wire ties on my uppers are to keep my teeth in place. But to me they look like wired powerchains. She has also indicated from the beginning of my treatment that my bite is A-ok. Does this mean I don't have to get rubberbands? or is it true that EVERYBODY gets rubberbands (like another braceface told me). I have not heard her mention it in my treatment plan .
Also, do wire ties/ powerchains keep teeth in place or also move teeth?
See my blog link for pics.
ok that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. The intake officer kind of threw me off when she said my wire ties make my teeth move faster after the ortho said they are to hold them in place.
But what about my rubber band question? Am I doomed to chew rubber:?:
