Sure do....and I found this set of moulds much worse than the one prior to braces....that stuff is horrible to get out of the braces!

Nice.....the impression stuff tastes bad anyway.....don't think the pam would be TOO much worse! They had a terrible time getting mine to come off....then it took a good 20 minutes of brushing to get that gunk out of the braces. I'm glad to not have to do that again (knocking on wood).

Do they not put a strip of rubber over the braces? I have had this whenever I have had impressions with braces on, it allows the mould to come out easily and no gunk gets left in the braces.

I'm looking to win the 'dumbest question ever' award here ...but you're talking only about hawley/essix kind of retainers, right? I am getting permanent ones and assume the just bond the wire to the back right when I'm getting the braces off (just before maybe??) and have no impressions needed?

Dawna,

My impressions were taken for my upper and lower bonded retainers. I had my retainers put in a few weeks prior to debanding.

My impressions were taken right after my braces were removed, I'm glad I didn't have to get that gunk stuck in my braces!
