When I read through all of your posts I can't help but get a little nervous. My orthodontist did nothing. He checked my teeth for progress and said, "continue wearing those rubberbands" and that's it. He sent me on my way.

My ortho has done no tightening in the last 3 appointments. It's frustrating.

April: He didn't change the archwire this time around (last Tuesday), purple powerchains top and bottom on all my bracketed teeth, rubber elastic from upper first molar to lower canine on the left side. oh and he shaved between lower central incisor and the lateral incisor to the left (PAIN!)

February: Same archwire pink powerchains top and bottom on all my bracketed teeth, rubber elastic from upper first molar to lower canine.

December: Same archwire silver powerchains on all of my upper bracketed top teeth and silver ligs on lower arch and rubber elastics from upper first molar to lower canine on both sides!

I think I must have the same archwire since October or November, ewwww!

During my last adjustment I got bottom braces! (super fun  ) But I actually got used to them surprisingly fast! I'm expecting rubber bands for my next adjustment in a few weeks....

I had an SOS appointment today because my bite was all messed up and I was having trouble grinding/ eating -- basically I have been swallowing my food whole for about a week. My pooooorrrrr GI track (ugh)....

Anyhow... the "check" today, turned into some adjusting...
- crossbite elastics removed
- RAMS (elastics) connecting 2nd molars on top and bottom now
- the small chain was removed from my adjustment a few weeks ago
- 1 spring was removed, while another was added in an alternate location

They mentioned "boxes" in terms of elastics, but decided not to go with them this time.

New set of powerchains on both top & bottom. Elastic bands for the last 6 weeks of my braces.
