Loose teeth

#1 Post by GiovanntiLawing »

Hi all! I know with braces comes loose teeth(because they are moving), but one loose tooth... while all of the others are snug in place? Is this really common? Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Even when I had braces 10 years or so ago I never experienced one tooth to be loose, it was usually a couple that were side by side. This one tooth I notice wiggles and I'm wondering how can it be the most loose while the others are tightly in place? Can someone help me understand this?

Thank you!

I had this problem when I first got braces, a couple of teeth would suddenly feel loose and then another tooth would feel loose. This calmed down as my teeth started moving more together.

I'm having that issue right now.. I actually was out eating last night and drinking water with lemon.. and I sucked up a lemon seed and felt it moving around my mouth.. it felt like a tooth and I freaked out until I spit it out and saw it was just a seed lol

Yeah, that's how it goes. I've noticed that one or two teeth will be loose, then they'll tighten up and a different one will be loose. I have one that's been loose for several months now, so I'm waiting for it to settle in. It's creepy, but normal.

Same here. Seems like each day I wake up a different tooth feels loose. And one that felt loose last week will feel fine this week. It's like they all take turns. Ha ha ha!

this also happened to me early on in the brace stage. they eventually tightened up. if you are really worried you should contact your ortho . just know that loose teeth are common since they are moving
