Bite all messed up during treatment before sorted out?

#1 Post by PigletInIowa »

For all of you who have finished most part of your treatment, have you ever feel that your bite was completely messed up in the beginning or the middle of the treatment? Will it be sorted out eventually at the end?

Most definitely. I started out with a wonky-looking but perfectly functional class II bite, but for the last year I have had no occlusion at all. The only teeth touching are top and bottom premolars on one side!

Things do often have to get worse before they get better, and the middle phase, where teeth are pulled into the new bite position, can take quite a while.

Yes its normal. Ouch! There were times my bite was so bad it would slip and i would knock my teeth together. That hurt!! But its all okay now, thanks to retainers.
