I think that Kiss Dental is a very good dentist. I see Dr Simon Li who is obviously working very hard within his field to continue to perfect peoples smiles. I paid £1500 for my brace and all the appointments I need which included xrays, moulds etc... It was a lot of money to pay out but I had been made redundant earlier in the year so I had redundancy pay to splash about. Its something I wanted fixing for a long time so when I got the money I knew that was what I had to spend it on.

The only bad point about Kiss Dental is that it is in Flixton near the trafford centre. I dont drive so it takes an hour to get there on the bus from Manchester City Centre.

It has now been 2 and a half months since I started wearing my brace and my teeth are straight! My front teeth are a little wobbly (I emailed Simon and he said this was normal) and if I leave my brace out they go crooked again but I am soooo happy! I have gone from hiding my mouth in every photo to asking people to look at my teeth. Back to the dentist tomorrow for hopefully more tightening and less filing.

*Smiles *
I also use Kiss Dental and Simon Li is my dentist also. I have been happy with them thus far. Simon is great, only minor issue for me has been the distance to get there... but I appreciate that the Inman is not something every dentist can do, so travelling is just something that needs to be done.

I would be happier if the back part stopped sliding down, it is happening very regularly.

Anyone know how to tighten the springs themselves?

Thank god this forum is back...

I've had my Inman now for just over 8 weeks. Can defo see an improvement already. I'm back next week for a check up and probably more filling (3rd app) i too have the annoying Composite bumps on my teeth but don't tend to notice them that much anymore - although i can see people looking at them when they speak to me.

I think the Inman is the best thing i have ever done.... i can't wait to see the end result :)

Keep your updates coming - i've missed you guys :)

So I went back to the dentist yesterday had no filing! I now no longer have the middle springy bit on my brace but I still have the filling that it used to sit on.

By my next appointment in 3 weeks I have to decide if I want a fixed retainer or one I will have to sleep in. HELP! Anyone know which is the best? I have been better at wearing my brace all night so I am leaning towards that but I want the one that is going to keep my teeth straight!

Well finally i have had my inman fitted! It was supposed to be done in DEC but the small files got stopped by customs coming from america! lol! This is my second week and all seem ok, the only thing that annoys me is the speech, all S D T's are out the window, so im picking my words, but overall its not that bad! Not much pain but can be a bit awkward putting it in and out, im wearing it almost all day every day, take it out for important calls and meetsing and thats it!! 10 more weeks to go!!

Have a question though.... when i got it the dentist said that its better if the bit at the back of the teeth is as high on the teeth as possible. First few days were fine, put it in and then pushed it up and it sat there. Is it possible that my teeth have started to move already because now a while after pushing it up it falls down a little bit? Still pressure there so I presume it fine. Main problem is that my speach was better when it was higher!! Dentist said that he would be putting composit fillings on to deal with this at the next visit.
I had this problem also. Mention it to your dentist. Mine made a little 'ledge' for it to sit on and I think due to having something strange thing on one of my teeth it has made me wear my brace more. Also it is alot more comfortable. Saying that... I cant wait until it is off. Feels so strange having an extra bit on my tooth.
Hi, I got the little ledge at the back of my teeth at my last appointment which was my first one. Due my second appointment next week. Did anyone see any movement in the their first six weeks? I can't see any movement visibly but can feel my teeth have moved.

Hello all, I'm at the start of the journey - it's been fascinating reading the experience from all the Inmaners here. I go for my first consultation to see if I'm suitable for Inman on Thursday. I'm kind of terrified because it's my first trip to a dentist since I was 14 (and that's not yesterday!)

My fiance dumped me last week and I've been something of an emotional trainwreck ever since, so maybe I've chosen a bad time to have my teeth seen to - I'm hoping I don't dissolve into a puddle in the clinic.

Hi Isobelleo, I think it's a great time for you to go ahead and get the teeth you want. Think of it as a new start and a positive step, if it increases your confidence half as much as mine it's a good move. Good Luck.

I'd just like to echo Jules comments! If it gives you a confidence boost i say go ahead. I only have one regret and that is that i had not taken the plunge sooner. I'm 10 weeks in and can see a vast improvement in my smile and i'm only just over half way through. I am back at Dental Elegance Thurs for my checks so i'll report in then.

We are all here for moral support if you need us :)

Are you completely done now Jules? Pleased with it all? (Got any pics of the final results, I can host them again if needs be) :)

I still want mine doing, but somehow I ended up with a new car lol, so will have to wait til that's paid off before I can even think of saving for an Inman. :(

Just a very quick update of my brace without the spring in the back. My teeth have gone from being 99% straight to being crooked again. I am hoping that the force from my brace over the 3 weeks will put them back in line.

Plus side is that my teeth are no longer wobbling!

I've not had the spring in the back of mine at all... Mine appear to be straight - i guess i was different tho as mine is a protrusive case! I'm actually glad i never had the spring, i think speech would have been a lot harder with it :?
