So I went to the dentist the other day, partly for a cleaning and partly because there has been a rather nagging pain on my top left back molar when chewing. Its business as usual, they clean, tell me I have 3 cavities, yadda yada. I ask them to examine the aforementioned tooth, they do so, and discover a mild degree of periodontal inflammation. The dentist says ''Tough Call'', could be an infection of the root therefore warranting a root canal procedure, or it could be stress on the periodontal ligament from the braces. He believes its merely stress from the braces moving the teeth, and that it should eventually fade. Unfortunately for myself, the pain has yet to abate, and has been a nuisance since November.
What should I do? BTW I have had 4 extractions, and thankfully, the gaps are nearly closed. I'm set to get them off some time in April....
Should I get a new dentist?
