OK...i know this is weird...but does anyone else like the feel of a new elastic (replacing one after several hours of wear) or getting the adjustment and having everything tight again?
I don't so much enjoy the actual physical feeling (bc it's usually painful or I know pain is on the way soon) but I do enjoy knowing that fresh elastics or an adjustment is helping to move my teeth along even further and thus getting me toward the end result faster. At my last adjustment I got elastics and the ortho said he wanted to see me in 3 weeks but I guess he forgot he wasn't going to be in for that entire week so I had to get scheduled 4 weeks later instead. I was pretty disappointed because I feel like the more I go, the more he can do tweaking and adjusting, and the faster I will get them off. I don't know if that's necessarily true or not but I do always get excited and I even have a countdown on my whiteboard in my little cubicle at work of "days til my next adjustment" and I like subtracting 1 day each day I go in. Haha wow yes I have now proven I am a nerd (if I had not already proven that many times already)
