Okay, i'm getting my braces off on April 16th of this year and i am getting a bonded retainer for my lower teeth? Anyway I've come across something that has confused me. When having a bonded retainer, do you have to have a removable one as well for the same location? (top or lower
My orthodontist said I'll have a bonded bottom and a removable top.
Typially, the bonded one is only for the incisors and stays in forever. The Essix is typically initially 24/7, then gradually less... but not down to zero. You will eventually wear it 1-2 nights per week.
