Jenn S. - OMG..you had me laughing so hard and I had to share it with my BF. You sound exactly like me.

*low sodium soup - haha my cupboard is packed with them
*chapstick - I have a tube in every purse I own
*begging for better drugs and denied over and over again

Finally on day 6 I am laughing but still terribly miserable!!

Happy I could make you laugh! Hope it did not hurt too much!
Serious though, are you feeling any better? If not, you will in a few days, promise!
By the end of the 2nd week, I hardly ever noticed them, but if someone had told me that in the first 14 days I would have told them to put the crack pipe down!

Did you post your story?

Absolutely go for it. I will be 56 in 16 days. My braces adventure began in September with bite plates. I have progressed to braces on the upper front for now and have upper and lower expanders which will be with me for 6-8 months. I think the lower braces begin this month.

My husband thinks the braces are cute. Just try to have fun with it.

Hi, I know it's been a while since I've updated my post. I've had two adjustments since my bracing in Jan. So far, so good. After the initial jaw issues, (sore to the max!! cancer sores & cuts),I haven't had any pain at all. Maybe my ortho is moving slowly since I'm such an oldie! I can see and tell a difference and will be progressing into a steel wire next adjustment. Still don't have lowers but will as soon as there is room. I don't seem to clench anymore, maybe because I am so aware of it now. So, to all of you who are questioning braces, this old chick can do it and so can you!!! :D
