I get mine next week. Cost is $5500, with 10% off it you pay it off in 90 days. I hate making payments so it will be just under $5000 for me.

Mine were $3900.

I got a 10% discount for being the third family member in treatment and another 10% off for paying in full.

I wish I could have paid it in full! I would have gotten a discount as well but unfortunately... dont have that kind of money! :(

So I am making monthly payments of $200 until it is paid off

I am hoping I will be able to pay it off before the end of this year :)

Clear porcelain braces: $5900
Cash discount: $295
Cost: $5605 (this was then written off on my taxes as dental expenses, do not forget to do this).

BSSO surgery... unknown cost at this point but diagnosis is mandibular jaw deformity.

I really think some of you folks should consider traveling to Pittsburgh to have your surgeries done.

$4700 for all metal including retainers. If my treatment takes longer than 18 months I will be asked to pay them $40 at each adjustment for office visit. Hopefully it won't be longer than the 18 months :D

Mine is 6000. 500 down. Ortho offered in house financing with no interest or credit check.

The payment was 181 for 24 months but I give them 200 a month. Are we able to write costs off on income taxes???

$4300 here for metal uppers & lowers, includes retainers at the end & covers all treatment no matter how long it takes. $500 down & interest free monthly payments or could've done carecredit.
Insurance will pay $1500 & I will turn the rest in to flex spending account to get reimbursed monthly.

I am having my treatment done in Colombia with an excellent orthodontist. It will cost me around USD 3,000 not including the orthognathic surgery I will need (yeah, I know, unlucky me). And this with a Damon system which is typically a bit more expensive.
Braces installed: Friday 21 Nov. 2008 12:00
Brace types: (fixed) Damon
Fraenum surgery: Saturday 03 Jan. 2009 16:00
Molar extractions: Planned June 2009
Orthognatic surgery: sometime in 2010

I have metal self-lig brackets. Mine were $5650 for 2 1/2 to 3 years estimated. Insurance covered $2000. Finished paying last March, but in November started getting bills for "extended treatment". Haven't gotten bills for the last couple months though, not sure what happened, but I have a credit now too. :?

Beth1966: Hi! I was wondering which Ortho in NYC you chose. Manhattan in NYC is very expensive. I am willing to travel to Brookly, Queens, or NJ to find a great Ortho but at a reasonable amount. Are you happy with the results? Thank you!

mines going to be around $7,000  ceramic top, and metal lower. Then at the end i will have to pay $250 for a permanent wire retainer thing thats fixed onto the back of the lower and upper teeth, but that is so worth the money. I have to pay $350 upfront to the ortho and then make $55 a week repayments (australian dollars). Yeah expensive, but i think anything over $1500 a year i can claim some back at tax time

this price included all the pre-xrays etc i have already had done. Oh and i did have to spend another $500 at the dentist to get some extractions. :(
