Teeth extracted - Braces Monday anyone else?!

#1 Post by Inova »

I'm quite new here but have been doing a lot of reading and occasinal post, it's been really helpful
I had my lower left incisor extracted last week (no probs/pain) and 2 premolars last night which were a bit trickier bu feels OK today.
So I'm all set for my braces (Inovaton C top, Inovation R bottom) to correct overbite and close the gaps! Will be an 18 month stretch. I'm kinda excited and a bit nervous.
Anyone else got a B day on Monday? Would love to have a Braces buddy
I am going to try and get my pics up at some point.......

Well, it looks like our anniversary is on the same day. I also got 2 extractions Friday and had my braces put on Monday 5/11. I am excited to see progress.

YEY! How are you doing? I am still struggling to eat and have lots of weird sensitivity round my teeth. Now my cheek is being cut up at the back. Still, I can't wait for the finished product either!

Congratz to the both of you for getting braces!

Inova: the sensitivity and cutting up of your mouth will slowly start to fade. I'd give it a few weeks and then it should be better!!! Eating is a bit tricky for the first few weeks. I remember trying to eat ceaser salad the end of the first weeka and ya that didn't go over well. You may want to try out the ever popular salt water rinse for your cut up mouth. It works wonders:D although for the first little while I will say it doens't taste the greatest but if you stick to it you'll eventually get used to it!! hang in there!!!!

I get braces tomorrow (tuesday 19th) so we can do this together. I didn't have extractions, which may have been a mistake.

I'm excited for you. Let us know how it went.
