I just found out that one week after braces and mere days after 4 extractions, I'm going to be shadowed during an all day evaluation at my job!
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Actually, the evaluation will probably be the day after I get the wire itself on, which makes this even worse! (My ortho won't add the wire until the extractions are done, and my oral surgeon won't do the extractions until I've "committed" and gotten the brackets on... yadda yadda yadda)
Unfortunately, there's no changing my visitor's schedule, and I won't postpone braces any longer. I'm going to have to suck it up and try to ooze some charm along with the drool and painkillers... Maybe if I offer to share the painkillers...
Similar stories anyone? I can feel a nervous breakdown coming on!
not quite an evaluation but I had to travel 600 miles the day I was braced to be with my mum to take her into hospital for open heart surgery .
Shes a bit deaf so I had to do a fair bit of all the talking to the doctors or tell her things she had mis heard etc over the following week !
I work with children with learning difficulties so had a fair bit of interest in my braces when I did get back to work
I am sure if you explain the issue to your evaluator (s)he wiill understand any mumbling, drooling, wincing and glimpses of waxed over brackets.
Will give a good opportunity for you to show your dedication to the job and how you can adapt to challenges affecting communication etc ....... most things can have a positive slant
i like that to, definetly would look good on you if you could cope with the new braces and then the extractions!!!!! best of luck to you
hahahah I had to laugh at sharing the pain killers lol lol that could make them really sleepy lol lol which could go either way! lol
