bleeding gums because of braces?

bleeding gums because of braces?

Hey, i've had my braces on for 2 weeks now and have started noticing whenever i brush my teeth recently my gums are bleeding, especially in between my teeth. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this? ahhh I keep really good care of my teeth so can't think of another reason for them bleeding apart from my braces.

hmmm that does seem a bit weird that your gums have stasrted bleeding, have you had any bleeding prior to braces at all? perhaps you are brushing to hard around your gums????? I think if the bleeding keeps up you should ring your dentist and or ortho to see what they think. You may want to try out the salt water rinse, 1 teaspoon to a cup of water. hopefully the bleeding stops and it gets better for you
