I look like a rabbit! - after extractions and pull back

#1 Post by anniev2 »

I had 4 teeth extracted and now my teeth look like they are pulled back too far. The top bite is in a diagonal going back and my ortho says its because there is so much pressure pulling the teeth back now but it will alleviate and the teeth will then be parallel to the rest of my face.

Has anyone else had this happen? What was your outcome...

I'm almost wishing I didn't extract. I sort of liked my teeth being so prominent, but I wanted them to be less overbitten (if you will)

thank you for responding...
so have you heard the same thing before that the force from your teeth causes them to tip inward like that. I was thinking they should be parallel to my face and not tipping in.
