Ugh! Rogue tooth is making me crazy.

I have a rogue tooth. Ugh! It's to the left of my front left tooth. (In between front, and incisor). It has always tucked flush behind my front tooth, my whole life but it was flat against the tooth. Now that my front teeth are pulled back and more straightened, it has been pushed back INTO my mouth! Literally it's like 1/4 - 1/3" behind the other teeth and the sensation in my mouth is that there's a rogue tooth in the middle of my pallet.

I spoke with her at my tightening last week. Power chains are on (ouch) and she has to pull those incisors back into the gap made from my extractions. 5 weeks in the power chains, and she'll bracket the rogue tooth. But until then? It's intensely uncomfortable and I LISP. I hate it!

Plus, for extra kicks & giggles? I'm getting married 9/5.

You can barely see it (unbracketed!) here. I know I need an "up" shot, I dont' have one here at work.

I sympathize. It really sucks to go thru "worse before better" episodes. If it make you feel any better, my lateral was pushed behind my front tooth and jutting into my mouth as well. But once it was bracketed, it moved very quickly into alignment. Hopefully you won't need to endure this for very long.

Thanks Tumbledry. Actually, it does help to know that.

I've been feeling kind of demoralized this week. This, after my high of ~10 days ago, when I walked around on air for 3 days to realize my two front teeth were both visible for the first time in my life - - they had always overlapped.

Last night I actually suddenly thought: Oh my God, what if my Incisors never move back into that space? What if I'm just a freak of nature?

My fiance, ever the pragmatic one said, "No honey, if you were a freak of nature, we would know already because your front teeth would have refused to move."

True!!

I'm in a sort of similar boat as you - my 2 bicuspids grew in behind my baby bicuspids that never came out on their own. So they are towards the inside of my mouth and when I bite down they are totally behind my bottom teeth, giving me a horrible cross bite (well, I can't really bite down like that anymore, but that's a good thing LOL).

I also have moments were I think "OMG what if they won't move into their spaces in the arch?!" They aren't bracketed yet, but they have little metal buttons on them and there's some elastic tied around the buttons to start pulling them. I can feel that they have moved a little already, just by where they touch on my tongue, but I'm so anxious for them to get into the arch and get bracketed like the rest of the teeth.

All the teeth will eventually move to their rightful places, it just takes some time

And you tend to get used to where your teeth are- or are going- quite quickly. But everyone has down days from it, it just takes patience (which is easier said than done, I know! I've been there

)

I had two teeth like yours- behind both my front teeth at either side. Now, however, they are perfectly aligned along my arch
