I'm in Guernsey (which isn't technically England) and I have one friend with ceramics (I have full metal)...which is nice as we are brace buddies and compare adjustment stories!

I saw my ex last week and he has them too...we ended up swapping stories too, turns out we go to the same ortho!

And last Saturday I saw a lady in a shop with them and gave her a massive tin grin thinking we had some kind of braces connection and she would smile back but she just glared at me...ah well.
Second time in braces!

Braced on 14th January 2009

I've never been there but don't the poeple in the Channel Islands speak with an English accent - thinking Bergerac here. :D Maybe that's why people always casually assume they're part of England.

I think the inhabitants of the Isle of Mann also have an English sounding accent.

Guernsey's a lovely place - I remember going on holiday there 10 years ago (was the first holiday I ever had sans parents!), and being blown away by the natural scenery and just the tranquillity of the whole place. I'll be sure to make it back there before I die for sure :D

I'm in Lincoln in the East Midlands and I've been in my braces since March 9th 2007. Don't know any adults with them but plenty of teenagers!

I've just about had enough now...28 months is a long time for me now I've hit 40!

I'm in London (weekdays) and Sussex at weekends - there are quite a few adults with braces in London, but I am yet to find one in Chichester!

I live in Milton Keynes... the only other adult I have seen is one of the assistants in my Ortho's office, she is wearing damons....

I totally agree with the posts above with regards to checking out everyone's teeth since you've had braces.

It's my new hobbie!!

Hi, im in Essex and in my late30's!!! Ceramic brace top 3 months and botom on last week. Im one of the youngest i've seen at my ortho, really nice people, and yes, seen a few people with braces in this neck of the woods. And when a few people have commented they usually know someone else with them. Very reassuring for me. Good luck :)
