What are your favorite braces supplies?

#1 Post by mary. »

What have been your favorite braces supplies?
Do you use a special case to carry them?
What do you wish you had but couldn't find?
Did you use any special cookbooks?
What supplies did you buy but not use?

For me I love the special braces toothbrushes including a travel one, a folding cup, regular toothpicks, and Bridgeaid dental floss threaders. I bought a case but could live without it. I also bought a water pic but haven't used it as much as I thought I would. I like an electric toothbrush and one with a small brush for braces. I did not use any special cookbooks.

Where can you buy the special braces toothbrushes?

Where can you buy the special braces toothbrushes? I haven't seen them in the stores in years.

I have a very expensive Sonicare, one of the older models. Does anyone know if a special orthodontic brush is made for the Sonicares?

What have been your favorite braces supplies?

I love my electronic toothbrush (oral b vitality with the special head specifically made for braces). It cleans your teeth feel sooo good after, its like a teeth massage (if that even exists)

I also use interdental proxy brush aka the christmas tree brush (dentex) and a sulca brush (the brand name slips my mind right now)

Do you use a special case to carry them?

I have 2 sets of everything minus the electronic toothbrush. when travelling I use a travel toothbrush that is espically made for braces (I find this works alot better then the normal travel tooth brushes because it doesn't feel like the bracets are being ripped off your teeth). I have a special carrying case that all the travel stuff goes into. along with the items above i have lipsilk blue tin lip balm, tooth picks (dentex), extra package of ortho wax and a mini mirror.

What do you wish you had that you couldn't find?

I wish i could get a hand on another travel toothbrush as I've had this brush for quite some time and its starting to wear down. its so hard to find the travel toothbrushes that are designed for braces.

Did you use a special cookbook?

I haven't used special cookbooks per say however my sis and my bro have had braces before so we had a huge collections of recipes that my siblings enjoyed and could eat easily with braces so not sure if you woul count that as an actual cookbook or not.

What supplies did you buy but have yet to use?

I have bought oral b super floss but have had the hardest time using it becasuse i can't see very well. My plan is though since it was kinda expensive (more so then regular floss) is to keep it and use it when i get my braces off like regular floss cause its nice and soft and it will feel good on my gums.
