Wires?

#1 Post by mve21 »

I got my upper brace fixed 6 months ago and they started off with the thinnest flexible wire and have been gradually putting a bigger wire in each time.. but today I got my lower braces put on and they've put a wire as thick as the one on top in straight away, is that ok? My teeth are quite crowded so it's not like there's not much straightening up to do.. the pain has started already.. tis not much fun :-(

for what my ortho told me, when I get the braces on bottom, the wire will be bigger that what I've started on top. On my case, it's because on top I had a high canine that require much more "bending" of the wire. My bottom is much more crowed that my uppers, but theet are more leveled and require less flexibility from the wire. Don't know if that's your case, anyway, good luck

Yep that could be true, theyre not as rotated as the top ones were so that might be why.. I woke up in the night and my teeth were really painful and two brackets had come off :-( I think I must have grinded my teeth together and bitten them off.. argh I'm going to take my sleeping bag with me next time I go as I seen to almost live there  nevermind! One day it will all be worth it!
