I heard a little anecdote the other day that I just HAD to share with you.
I saw a friend of mine for the first time since I've had my braces put on. She was so excited for me, and of course, started to tell me about her own braces journey. She also told me about her father's braces journey.
She said, "My father is in his 70s, and he decided a few years ago that he wanted to get braces. He's always been self conscious about his teeth, and decided that he was finally going to do it. Well, he just got his braces off not too long ago, and all he does now is smile! It's like he's a changed man. Everything about him seems happier, and he says that his only regret is that he hesitated out of fear for so long."
All told, she insists that her father is a CHANGED MAN, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Sure, braces can hurt for the first week or so, and you might get a little achy when they're tightened, but EVERYONE I know says it's a worthwhile journey. And my friend's father just goes to show that you're never too old!
I hope this little anecdote helps.

Best of luck, whatever your final decision.
