Appointment Frequency

Hi everyone
I'm new to this board but not to braces. I've had them since February and had ortho work since last August. Since I've had the braces though, I've been having appointments nearly every 2-3 weeks. I've been reading about people going every 8 weeks at a time. I was just looking back at my calendar and seriously, since May, I've been going every 2 weeks or so. I know a lot is moving in my mouth and moving fast! I think the major movement happened between February and MAy and then since that time it's been the small tweaking and refining. I'm to have these damon braces for 18 months but I've been just over 7 months now, and I have no bite issues at all. They're closing up the gaps on the top with power chain and rotating one tooth on the bottom.
Is it really unusual to have appointments so often?
It's a good thing that I stay at home with my kids cause if I both myself and hubby were working, it'd be nearly impossible to make all these appointments!!

For the last four months or so I've been having appointments every three weeks. My teeth move very fast so this seems to be working well for me. I think it depends on the ortho how frequently they schedule appointments.

about 25-30 days here.. good progress so far

My first time was 8, then 6, then 4, 4, and this time was 5. I think that's all of them. Might have been another 5 weeker in there.

Mine are every 6 weeks. Every 3 weeks would be awesome.

Also every two weeks at present - four past 8 wks. I have a rotated tooth and power chains to correct it last about ten minutes in my mouth - seriously they have snapped after two and a half weeks so I prefer this than emergency visits. It is a nightmare, my husband is at work, appointments are too long to take my todler to - fortunately my nursery will accomodate adhock sessions - the nursery bill is fast catching up with the ortho bill though LOL!. At other times in my treatment it has been four weekly visits. On the positive I would rather have frequent visits and get things moving than have braces longer.

my first was 5 weeks, then 8, then 6, my next will be at 4. so, I've been all over the board!

In the begining I had appointments every 4-6 weeks (dependingon schedual) For the next three weeks I am seeing my ortho every two weeks because we are getting closer to the end.
