Why no white wires and retainer wires?

#1 Post by Eric805 »

On the topic of having white instead of silver; I did a little searching and couldn't find much about it. Has anybody heard of a Hawley type retainer with the wire across the front being white? I had always thought the white would look better in braces (ceramics). I also dont like the idea of having another silver wire in front of my teeth for the retainer when I get my braces off.

It is difficult to post pics on this site since you have to upload them to a separate location efore linking them here, etc.

Someone on here had an Astics retainer, which looks like a Hawley but with a clear wire. You can search for it on this site or google it. Maybe your ortho would be able to get this for you.
