Wow can't believe you had that huge gap in the beginning looks like you lost a tooth ahahahah (can joke about it now cos its in the past). You must feel like the hottest person on the earth right now lol congrats.
I really do feel awesome, still have a long way to go, and ortho says he may never get them perfect, but with them looking this good.... who cares they are beautiful!
Congratulations!!! Your teeth look incredible!!! I have a diastema, that is the entire reason for my braces. So to see others have such wonderful results is very encouraging. Thank you for sharing!!!
your teeth are looking good after 8 months. i have the space between my front teeth (diastema) which was about as big as yours. the whole reason for me getting braces. my mom had it, her mom had it and i decided it was going to stop with me.
i'm about 6 months into my treatment and my gap is still there, but slowly closing. as you know it takes time. but just seeing your pictures alone has me looking forward to what my teeth will look like.
the only thing i am not really thrilled about is that at the end of the treatment my orthodontists said that he will have to put in permanent retainers to prevent the gap from reopening again. i thought if i just wore the retainers as directed that would be good enough. but if the permanent retainers will prevent the gap from returning and keep me with a nice smile, i'm all for it. just have to get used to having them in my mouth when the time comes.
but once again your teeth look real good. how much more time is left in your treatment. my ortho told me it would take around 1.5 yrs to correct my smile. so far like i said 6 months down, like another year remaining.
thanks for putting your picture up it lets me know that my gap will close one day, just have to have patience.
ayvecs: I have an Essix retainer on top (sort of like Invisaligns) while my bottom teeth are wired. I hate the retainer. Big pain in the butt - have to take it out to eat and drink anything except water. Go for the permanent (lingual) retainer.
