I have a few questions concerning my bite.
1. When I bite my teeth together the gap between by upper central incisors and lower incisors is bigger than the gap between my upper lateral incisors and my bottom incisors. Am not talking about overbite here but overjet.
2. Secondly Ive noticed that my speech has changed slightly and sounds a bit off. Can this be caused by the larger gap.
3. How close should the upper canines be to the lower canines, again I am talking about overjet not overbite. The gap between my incisors seem to be less than a millimetre on both sides, some times when I talk the canines would hit each other.
4. When I bite together my back molars on the left side touch first so it looks horrible. There is like a 1-2 millimetre gap between the upper and lower teeth.

Ok so here is an image of my upper and lower canines. See the gap is really small.

This is a picture to show the size of the gap between the upper central incisors compared to the lower incisors and upper laterals and lower laterals.

This is my teeth on my right.

This is my teeth in the left.

Lastly here are my teeth from the front.

Are you getting bottom brackets soon? All these bite issues can be addressed with elastics -- I know b/c I've had similar issues. You need both upper and lower braces to wear elastics. The soonest you might get elastics is a few months after bottom braces are installed and once you get them you probably wear them until the end of treatment.

Braced for 2 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 5 days (the 2nd time ‘round)
