My face is not really improving, in my opinion. That ortho wrecked it. My glasses fall off my face, I have a dent on the left side now and I am in constant pain. My ears itch, they hurt, etc. I am a mess. I am just on here to vent my frustrations about this whole extraction thing with me it just did not work. Why would my ears itch so bad though? They have been itchy for months and my internal medicine doc found nothing wrong. I read it can be related o TMJ is that true? My face was never this skinny. Never in my entire life. The only part I like about it is that my turkey waddle is pretty much gone, but that's it. I liked my pre extraction face, to be honest :(

Are your ears itchy inside? Allergies can cause that, which would be completely unrelated to the braces. It might also be an ear infection. Have you had your GP look at them and do a tympanogram? You might try taking some over the counter zyrtec or benedryl to see if that helps. Maybe try the allergy meds, and if that doesn't help, go to your GP.

I believe itchy ears can be associated with a TMJ disorder. You might want to have somone evaluate you for that.

I was checked, no ear infection. I was tried on Benadryl and that didn't help. This is weird, really! I keep my ears clean, too. They itch so bad and the one on the left side hurts. It hurts when I open my mouth. Ouch.
