Forcus Springs and Wisdom Tooth Extraction

#1 Post by eternalshrew »

I've had my braces for almost 3 years now.
After deciding not to have jaw surgery, my orthodontist suggested forcus springs.
Does anyone have experience with them?

I live 8 hours away from my orthodontist.
I started treatment before going away to college and decided to continue with my orthodontist despite the distance.

My problem is this:
I am getting my wisdom teeth out the day after I get my forcus appliance on (all during spring break).
My initial reasoning for this was that this is the only time I will be home long enough to recover from an extraction and I might as well get all painful events done at once.
My orthodontist said things should be fine.

What do you think?
How much pain should I prepare for?
Has anyone else done this before?
