I was wearing closing loops and my gaps had closed. On the last appointment the ortho removed the loops and put on a powerchain and a small gap has reappeared. Should I call in and tell him or is it possible that he is repositioning the teeth? I am confused
My ortho took my closed chain off and put regular ligs on for a month. Then he put on "open" chain. My gaps opened back up! So now I have closed chain on to close it up.
So I would say yes if you are wearing open chain vs. closed chain. But I am not an expert!
2 Years 4 months 3 weeks and 4 days in full metal braces!
I've had a gap to reform after getting my first powerchain removed. They put another one on with that loopy wire stuff around to keep my teeth from shifting this time. That's worked.
