Uppers and bottoms on January 14th. I just had my first checkup today.
She told me the first 2 months were the worst, then it would get better.
At this point I'm tolerating......not loving my braces. Maybe by next checkup.

*hand raise* Got my uppers on January 14. Adjustment #1 is happening on March 1. Have to get some more movement before the lowers go on but I also had an extraction down there so I'm assuming that my teeth may be a bit quicker to move.

Oh, also, I may be a bit of a weirdo but so far I've liked having braces. Movement has been good and there is nothing unmanageable about them. Maybe the bottoms will be torture but the tops have been great.

Tomorrow is my one month point.

I take it day-by-day.
I have a good deal of pain from rubbing still and I'm hoping things will get better.
My first adjustment is next week and I heard so many bad things about that.
On the positive side, I can see some movement in my very crowded teeth and that's a good thing!

I've had my uppers on for a month, but I haven't seen any movement. I've felt a lot of pressure on my front teeth, so I assume something is going on. I'm looking forward to getting my lower braces because I have extraction gaps, so watching those close should be fun :)

Hand up over here :-1 Braced four weeks ago yesterday, ceramics top and bottom. They've been no trouble really, but last week I had my first adjustment and have just started to feel the effects of the thicker wires my ortho put on, especially on my top teeth. Am feeling lots of pressure in my jaws, lots of movement going on, and since yesterday the hooks on my buccal brackets on one side in particular have really been giving me gip - scratching up the inside of my mouth something rotten, the worst since I've been braced (I saw an old friend yesterday and we spent a good few hours chatting and catching up - I think I must have talked too much!).

But these are just minor gripes - I'm still loving this adventure! :-*
