Bite Plate Question

Hello and Hi....well I'm six weeks into the process now.....got my lower braces on today :D and a bite plate :shock: ....have a near 100 percent over bite.....how long (duration) have others had to wear thier plate before getting rid of the foul thing? an interesting note....Its has taken at least 10 years off of my face,,,, gone is the sad/angry look, lines are still there but now a more refreshed look :D

I have a bite plate too...the ortho said I should not have one during entire treatment...they will see my progress during first adjustment and go from there...I am three weeks in with braces and I am used to having all this stuff in my mouth...though I am still having a hard time pronouning certain words... :crazy: :crazy:
