Incisor moving back up?

#1 Post by braciefacie »

I was debraced the other day and teeth were looking pretty good, much to my delight. I had to wait 3 days to get my retainers (got them yesterday), only to realise that my upper retainer were not molded properly, which is why I can't put it on fully.

So went back to the Ortho's office today to get molded again for my replacement uppers, so I have to wait another 3-4 days to get them. In the meantime, Ortho said to still try to wear the current retainers, because even though it doesn't fully go in, it would at least limit movement and hold the (front) teeth in place.

So needless to say, I'm a bit stressed about the whole situation - but then as I was looking in the mirror today, I realised that one of my lateral incisors seemed to have moved up slightly (perhaps 1mm vertically)? Does this usually happen? Will the retainers be able to hold it in place and stop it from moving vertically?
