I have something kinda like this.
anyone else have this configuration? Im dying for help. It's not that its hurting my teeth, but the elastic on the top is rubbing on my gums in between my central incisors and its really uncomfortable. Anyone have any suggestions to make it better??

I have 2 elastics on each side. Class II's and triangles each side too.

There's really nothing you can do, but get used to it.

For gum relief, have you tried either Anbesol or Benzodent? They're both great at numbing the area affected. I prefer Benzodent, and have used it on the insides of my cheeks to help with brackets rubbing.

That looks like such a strange config. Are you able to even talk with that on? Do you wear that all day, or just at night?

I was thinking of trying anbesol to numb it, but my main concern is that its going to irritate the gums and cause a canker sore or bleeding.
Im actually a little more used to it today, if I dont touch it or anything it doesnt really bug me, its when im trying to move it around its irritating.

I do have to wear it all the time, but its a way bigger elastic then the normal ones so I can still talk with it on. This morning though I felt like my mouth was wired shut, feels a bit better now.
It makes me appreciate my old elastic configuration.. 5-5 on both sides.

You may want to call your doc. There are many, many different anterior elastic configurations that will work. They may just want to change the configuration a bit.

I just had that elastic configuration for 2 months and it cut my gums where it goes across the top. Just pull the elastic down under your two front brackets. Try it and let me know if it works for you. It worked for me.

I had to wear my rubber bands for 24 hours except when brushing.
