Hello Again,
I got my clear retainer from the dentist a couple of weeks ago, but he told me that it wouldn't actually continue moving my teeth, it would just keep them in place.
I didn't really think about it at the time, made an appointment for 4 weeks time and left.
Once I got home, I had a proper look, and my teeth aren't as straight as I want them to be (although there is a massive improvement from when I began) and as the retainer moulds were taken 2 weeks before, they're not straight either, so I have decided to carry on wearing my inman til I go back.
I'd rather wear it for longer and have my teeth totally straight, than settle for them not quite being where I want them to be.
Has anyone else had this problem?

That was one reason I have never had a clear retainer, just hawleys because they can be made to move teeth. Maybe you can wear your inman again and have molds taken for a hawley that can have things added to it wherever you're most prone to teeth moving?
How was your experience with the inman, by the way?

clear retainers can move teeth too.

A hawley cant make big movements either. Both hawley and essic (clear) can make small movements. More than that you need to upgrade to something like an inman aligner or other active removlable appliance.

My Inman experience has been pretty good til now. I'm lucky enough to be able to wear it at work, so saw movement pretty quickly. This last little bit of movement just seems to be taking forever though!
I've decided to just keep wearing it as normal, and discuss getting another retainer made with my dentist when I'm happier with how straight they are.
Like I said, I'd rather wear it for a few more weeks and have teeth I'm happy with, than stop earlier and feel that they're not as straight as they could be.
