As you can see have deep overbite and teeth just look awful. Anyone have teeth similar to this and they got corrected.

My orthondontist assistant said her teeth were similar to mine and her teeth are beautfiful. Cant imagine mine looking beautiful.

Believe it or not my friend had teeth in the same shape "bad" as photographed here. It took her about 3 years of treatment and I forget what else but damn does her teeth and smile look amazing. I was amazed at her results. To bad I cannot find photos.

My orthodontist telling me 1 1/2 to 2 years. He actually said the top teeth will straighten out fast. It is the bite that takes a while to get right.

I had a pretty bad deep bite when I started, and spaces to boot. After about 8 months, my teeth are almost perfect! I think you will be amazed at what braces can do. :)

I think my teeth had some similarities to yours (front teeth angled in, neighboring teeth twisted). Here's a before pic and an after 9 months of braces pic. I don't expect the overbite to be fixed much with braces, though there is a possibility I will have jaw surgery to move my lower jaw forward, and I'm not sure how that will affect the bite.

Smithie, yes from a side angle my top teeth look like yours

that is great in 8 months they have straigtened out. Do you have an overbite.

From a front view, do you see a difference in your smile? Do you like what u see so far?

Looks like your smile style is different in braced pic than in the first.

I have an overbite which is comparable to yours... I can still bite down a couple more millimeters in the bottom photo. The teeth are definitely straighter, but with braces on, it's hard to say about my smile... they're certainly the first thing I notice! Anyway, the top front teeth moved very quickly... noticed some change within a couple of months and thought they were more or less straight after only 6 or 7. All in all, it's been easier than I expected, and I'm happy with the decision to get braces.

Of course your teeth can look better.

Your doc is right inthat things will start to look really good at the 3 to 6 month mark. Your teeth will be straight but you will have overjet. ALso your gummy smile will improve somewhat (at least over the centrals)

Yes absolutely your teeth can be fixed! My teeth were awful--I think mine looked much worse then yours. I didn't have a deep bite, but my crowding was very severe. On top of that I had an over bite, a cross bite and an upper palate 10mm narrower then average. After 4 extractions and 33 months in braces, (my debrace date it Aug 12th) you'd never know I had any of those problems.

The orthodontists can most definitely fix your teeth. Go for it!

Best of luck to you!

Haywire, I looked at your teeth and they moved fast

#13 Post by believer1964 »

I looked at your teeth and see where your twotop front teeth inclined in so much just like mine. Its really noticable from an upside down view. Mine are just like that except i have twisting on the neighboring teeth. Very encouraging that they moved so fast.

Very encouraging. Thanks for sharing!!!
