Ouch - again

Yesterday I had a 10 minute appointment where my dentist put elastics around my upper and lower molars to prepare for adjustment of the bands for my upper braces and to get my bottom braces on tomorrow. It already hurts so much I don't feel like eating anything (which is not good since I'm hungry!).. not looking forward for the appointment tomorrow.. it hurt a lot when I got the braces on the upper teeth.

Sorry about the complaint.. just needed to get it out somewhere!

Know what you mean. After 33 months in braces, I've had my fair share of feeling like crap b/c my teeth hurt. My remedy: take two Advil, wait a half an hour, and then eat soft stuff. One of my favorite things to eat when my teeth hurt are scrambled eggs. Put some cheese in them. Yum!

No need to apologize! Adjustments hurt! Try some Aleeve or Advil. Even after 16 months, there are times when all I can eat is yogurt.

Awe, it can be tough! At least you have this forum to complain and we all understand! My teeth are killing me today for no good reason, guess they are moving.

I have been hungry for 2 months! Food is such a pain, I just stopped eating.

I just got my bottom row braced today and unlike the top row which really didn't hurt that much, the bottom braces are killing me! I have upper ceramics and got metal bottoms today and I'm just not getting along with all the metal. Like you, I'm starving but can't eat anything. lol. I'm going to be super skinny!

Hope your bracing went well today.

Unfortunately (?) I didn't get my bottom braces today. Many of the people working at my dentist office are on vacation, and someone had left for vacation without finishing something.. so my dentist did not have the things he needed. All he did today was fix and activate my ALF appliance.

Not quite sure if I'm happy or not, since now I have to go through this one more time before getting the bottom braces (second time already).. and I kind of just want to get started so I can start the countdown towards getting them off again...

At least the soreness on my bottom teeth will lessen soon.. but he told me the activation of the ALF will make my upper teet sore again.. *sigh*
