Why shave them down? The front two teeth typically are slightly longer than the incisors next to them.

Your teeth look great! Congrats!
I had my braces on for 2 years, 1 month, 2 weeks and 2 days.

That's probably your old hang up talking. Your teeth don't look bunny-like at all too me! And personally, I think it looks cute when the front teeth are a little longer than the one next to them. For example, Yvonne Strahovski (she plays Sarah on 'Chuck'):

She's adorable! And hers are definitely longer than yours are now.

Oh definitely! Our old hang ups tend to follow us around for a while, even after we've fixed things. It becomes so ingrained that it can be hard to let go. Even though my teeth are traight now and the braces are off, sometimes I still put my hand up in front of my mouth when I laugh and I will try to avoid having my picture taken until I remember that my teeth aren't all funky any more. I am assuming that it'll get easier over time.

My advice would be to wait on shaving them down. After a few months of having your braces off, if it is still really bothering you, then have it done. But if you do a quick Google image search, you'll find that most celebrities who are known for their beautiful smiles (Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie are two examples), their front teeth are slightly longer.

I think you look great!

Hey Magster. I can see what you're talking about. The problem seems to be that the lateral incisal edges are rounded, and the central incisors are quite square.

While the teeth are now at the correct level, you may consider some recontouring of the corners of the centrals to round them off. One thing to consider is that men tend to look better with longer, rectangular teeth, and women tend to look better with shorter, rounder teeth.

Speak to your dentist or orthodontist about this possibility. Good luck!
